chloe’s Story

I started playing volleyball in the second grade when I was eight years old. I am inspired by my mom who has given so much for my brothers and I. She has taught us to always work hard through adversity and to be grateful for what we have. I am also inspired by the strong women I play with everyday at Purdue who are great people on and off the court. I chose Purdue University because of the competitive culture, elite coaching staff, and amazing student athlete support. The Big Ten is one of the best conferences in the country for volleyball and I am excited to play against some tough teams. It is also fifteen minutes from my house so I am very grateful that my whole family can come watch my games and that I can still see them. Some awards that I have received are the Indiana Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022, the Best Spiker Award with USA Volleyball on the U21 National Team, and was the #1 ranked recruit in the nation for the class of 2023 by Prep Volleyball in 2022.

WHY ULTRA ANKLE?

I like how the Ultra Ankle brace holds your ankle in place if I happen to roll it or fall. I also like the quick process of taking them on or off. I like how I don’t have to lace them up, but can rather just slip them on. Another plus would be the Velcro not wearing down overtime as well as their lightness which does not weigh me down when I jump. I would recommend the Ultra Ankle ankle brace to other athletes looking for light, stable, and comfortable ankle support.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT PLAYING FOR Purdue?

The best part of playing for Purdue University is to have the opportunity to rep my town as well as the state of Indiana with great players from Indiana as well. Holloway Gymnasium is a special place to play in with fans who pack the house. I am grateful we can share our love for the game and homegrown talent with them.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUNG PLAYERS IN YOUR SPORT?

One piece of advice I would give to young volleyball players is to learn all of the skills before specializing into one position as you want to be a complete player rather than lacking in some areas. I would also suggest to learn to love the gym and outwork everybody around you! Be a great teammate, lift others around you up, and don’t forget to have fun!
