KENNEDY’S STORY
I began playing volleyball in 7th grade at the age of 13, and from the start, I’ve been inspired by God and the many blessings He has given me. My parents have also been a tremendous source of inspiration, always supporting me and doing everything in their power to help me succeed in whatever I set my mind to. I love volleyball because it’s a true team sport, success comes only when every player works together. I value being part of a team you can trust to give their all, lift you up, and push you to reach your highest potential. I chose Seton Hall because of its close-knit culture, competitive conference, and family-like atmosphere. From the moment I met the coaching staff and team, I knew they cared about each of us as people first, and players second. At Columbus North High School, I was a three-time All-Conference selection and two-time Most Valuable Player. I led the team in kills in both 2023 and 2024, while also leading in blocks and aces each season. In 2024, I set the school record for career kills with 775, was named Academic All-State, and led Conference Indiana in blocks.
WHY ULTRA ANKLE?
I’ve been wearing Ultra Ankle braces for the past few years, and I absolutely love them. Before switching, I wore soft ankle braces and dealt with multiple ankle injuries. Since making the change to Ultra Ankle, I’ve felt significantly more support and stability on the court. I appreciate how these braces offer exceptional protection while still allowing the mobility I need for the constant movement and jumping that volleyball demands.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT PLAYING FOR SETON HALL UNIVERSITY?
The best part of playing for Seton Hall University is the constant challenge of competing at a high level while having the support of a team that pushes me to improve every day. Being part of a college volleyball program means growing as both an athlete and a person.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUNG PLAYERS IN YOUR SPORT?
Believe in yourself and play with confidence. Mistakes are part of the game, learn from them and keep chasing your goals. Don’t get caught up in trying to be perfect, because no one is. Most importantly, never lose your love for the game.
