High 5 Size Chart

Your ankle brace size is different from your shoe size because it’s based on your ankle circumference. View our size chart for instructions on measuring your ankle circumference. You’ll use that measurement to figure out which size brace will provide the best fit.

Size Chart

Measure around your ankle with a tape measure as shown in the photo and then reference the size chart to the right. If your ankle is measuring in-between two size we would recommend going with the smaller size. For example, if your ankle is measuring right at 14” then we would recommend going with the size Medium.

Unlike soft or lace-up braces, the Ultra High-5 features a durable U-shaped shell and hinge system that provides targeted support and stability while still allowing for natural up-and-down motion. This motion allows for “protected movement,” accelerating healing and recovery from an ankle injury. The result is a comfortable, secure fit that supports healing and reduces the risk of re-injury.

This brace is easy to put on and take off, using just one adjustable strap for a customized fit. It’s designed to fit comfortably inside most footwear, and works great with custom orthotics, making it ideal for daily use by individuals who need reliable ankle protection throughout their routine.

Whether recovering from an ankle injury, managing a history of ankle injuries, or seeking enhanced joint stability, the Ultra High-5® delivers dependable support where and when it’s needed most.

Who Should Wear the Ultra High-5?

  • Individuals with chronic ankle instability due to a history of multiple ankle injuries.
  • Individuals recovering from mild to severe ankle injuries and need “protected movement” to speed their recovery.
  • Individuals looking to reduce pain associated with sprains, strains, overuse and arthritis.

The Best Shoes to Wear with the Ultra High-5

  • Recommended: Low-top sneakers that have a traditional tongue and laces where you can loosen the laces enough to fit the brace in the shoe.
  • Not Recommended: Sneakers that have a sleeve or collar design that limit the opening of the shoe. Due to their limiting design, it is very difficult to insert any ankle braces in these shoes.
  • Not Recommended: Tall boots or sandals.

We are very happy with the ankle braces.  Our high school son wears them for basketball. He was having recurrent ankle sprains in lace up braces. He is a giant child (6’7”, 260#) so the Ultra Ankle braces support him much better.  He has come down from jumping and landed on other players feet but in the Ultra Ankle braces he has not had an injury.  Thanks!

My daughter plays volleyball and has been recovering from tendinitis and a previous ligament tear she received from coming down on top of someone’s foot that drifted under the net. She used to wear lace up ankle braces. We switched when our doctor suggested that the lace up ankle braces could possibly be contributing to her tendinitis. The braces were immediately used with minimal break in needed. She said they were comfortable, easy to use, and she felt supported. On Sunday another player drifted under the net and my daughter was blocking her. My daughter landed on the girl’s foot but this time she felt the brace support her ankle and she all she had was a little soreness as opposed to a ligament tear this time! Thanks for your suggestion to purchase the High-5. They are perfect!
